Did Green actions as a rapist and murderer make it more likely that US soldiers will be beheaded in the future?
I think so, but more broadly I really and truly believe there has been a continuous lapse of responsibility here. That Mr. Green is a rapist/murderer is a fact, but so is the defense that he was deranged, and that begs the question, how did that happen. WHY did that happen. We as a society look the other way when it comes to mental illness rather than treat it, we hope it will go away. Similarly, when you have very bad things happening far enough up the food-chain, nobody does anything. So you have by all accounts Vice President Cheney enthusiastically doing whatever they can to destroy our values and governmental systems by the very worst possible behavior as a rule. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1003188675654300379 Green, certainly deserves the death penalty for his actions, and I'm sure where-ever he his imprisoned, this same brutal predatory logic that was applied in the Bush White House also applies in prisons,so we can rest assured that Green will probably wish he got that sentence at some point.

ARE THE INSURGENTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS OR ARE THEY CONSIDERED TO BE JUST VICTIMS AND WILL GO UNPUNISHED?
Do really think that these insurgents will be tried for their crimes against humanity? I do not think they will. Their culture is different than Americans and they have no reason to think they did anything wrong. To them they are the ones that have been invaded and they are just protecting what is theres!
Remember, this is not a "War" under our constitutional definition or under the Geneva Convention. Yes, I think that they should be punished but since this is not a conventional war and is taking place where it is, they probably will not be. After all, hasn't the Iraqi government offered amnesty to all 'Iraqis' in the 'insurgency' who have killed Americans and Iraqis?
